Sources and refresh schedule
Business registrations, NAICS codes, and size status
Source: SAM.gov Entity Management APIRefresh: Daily
An incremental extract runs every day at 04:00 UTC covering the previous two days of changes, with deliberate overlap so nothing falls between runs. A second job walks the full active registry across update-date windows so firms are picked up even when they have not changed recently.
8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, and EDWOSB certifications

Certification flags and capability narratives come from SBA rather than self-reported SAM.gov fields, because SBA is the authoritative record for these programs. A full pass updates tens of thousands of records, so it runs weekly rather than daily.
Federal prime contract awards and modifications

New awards and modifications are pulled every day at 05:00 UTC, ordered by obligation date. Watchlist matching runs immediately afterward, and the weekly digest email goes out Monday mornings.
What the refresh schedule does not guarantee
- A registration marked ACTIVE reflects its status as of the last sync. Registrations lapse continuously, so a firm can expire between refreshes and still appear active here for up to a day.
- USAspending publishes award data on the government's own reporting timeline. Our daily pull is prompt, but the underlying record may already be days or weeks behind the actual award action.
- Certification flags are refreshed weekly, so a newly approved 8(a) or HUBZone status can take up to a week to appear.
- SamMatch is not a system of record. For anything contractually binding — award eligibility, size status, certification standing — verify directly at SAM.gov or with the SBA.
Why profiles exist before anyone signs up
The directory is built from public registration data, so a firm has a SamMatch listing whether or not it has ever heard of us. Claiming a free profile does not create the listing — it lets the business correct the public record, add capabilities that registration data does not capture, and verify ownership so the listing surfaces ahead of unclaimed firms when scores tie.
Corrections
If a listing is wrong, the fastest durable fix is usually at the source, since our next sync will pull the correction through automatically. For anything that looks like a SamMatch problem rather than a source problem, email support@sammatch.com. See security and data handling for storage, retention, and deletion.
SamMatch is a private service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by SAM.gov, the SBA, USAspending.gov, or any U.S. government agency.
